What Generators We Supply?

When we are talking about a generator, we usually mean the one that comes to electricity. There are many famous brands all around the world. Today, we are going to learn some new basic information about generator. What questions will we usually ask about generator? Most of us will want to know what fuel does it take, does it use less or more fuel by how much energy we take from it or does it burn fuel at a constant rate?

Learn More Basic Information About Generator
Many generators have 2 settings that dictate the energy consumption. Eco mode will run at the lowest rps and still deliver electricity. In this mode, your fuel consumption will be dictated on what you draw from it. The other setting will run it at highest speed in order to deliver maximum power for large energy drawing appliances. Useful for appliances that have high surge demand like refrigerators. (Surge is the amount of energy it takes to get a motor initially running such as fridgerator motor.) Fridges will usually require like 1900 watts to start up, but run at say 800 watts. After your heavy drawing appliance is up and running, you can turn it back into eco to save fuel.

In addition, Generators can take a wide variety of fuel. They can run off Gasoline, Natural Gas, Diesel, Propane etc. In addition, many generators can be easily converted to switch between different fuels. 1000 Watts is on the small side as concerning generators. A microwave draws about 1000 watts as does a toaster. I use a Gasoline powered 1400 watt generator with 2000 watt surge capacity to ensure my tropical fish dont freeze in winter if power goes out.

Amps X Volts= Watts. Watts is amount of electricity your Generator delivers. As mentioned a 2000 watt generator running at 50% load will run about 9 hours on a gallon of gas. The bigger the engine, the more fuel it will burn simply by running.

If you want a good deal on generators, Amazon has many good varieties on there with customer reviews. Generally Chinese made ones like mine are cheapest, but quality control can be spotty. Honda apparently is the name to go in generators but they are way more pricey. Never run a generator straight into your house plugs unless a licensed electrician installed a transfer switch. Also Generators, can be very dangerous if run nearby the home or in a garage. They produce large volumes of carbon monoxide. I recomend a CO detector if you use a generator near the home.

How a Generator Works

Most generators run on standard auto gasolene. Yes, if you attach more devices to the generator and load it down, it will burn more fuel. In this case the generator is working harder and must produce more horsepower to keep the engine speed the same. A standard wall outlet in your home is rated at 15 Amps, 120 Volts AC. This equates to 1800 Watts. (Power = Current x voltage). A toaster is about 1500 Watts, for your reference. As an example, here's a honda EU2000i generator that can last up to 9.6 hours on 1 gallon of gase (albeit likely at a small load). These models are fairly expensive, but they are super-quiet.

it uses oil and gas. oil goes in the side, gas on top. (remember this is mine) they might be loud so you might want to keep them somewhere you cant hear it. do not let water, snow, or ice get to it or shocks might occur. then turn on, plug in things to the outlet, and they should run.

We supply Cummins, Volvo, Deutz, Doosan Daewoo, MTU, Ricardo, Perkins, Shangchai, Weichai, Yuchai etc brand generator set.

How to know and solve faults of genset voltage transformer

Today Starlight Power shares the common faults for voltage transformer of diesel generator set. Hope it is helpful to you. 1) The insulation between iron chips is damaged. Fault phenomenon: temperature rises during operation. The possible causes of the failure are: poor insulation between iron chips, bad use of environmental conditions or long-term operation under high temperature, which promote the insulation aging between iron chips. (2) Poor contact between grounding plate and iron core. Fault phenomenon: there is discharge sound between iron core and oil tank during operation. Cause of failure: the grounding plate is not inserted tightly, and the mounting screw is not tightened. (3) The iron core is loose. Fault phenomenon: abnormal vibration or noise during operation. The cause of failure: the iron core clamp is not clamped, and the iron chip is loose. (4) Turn to turn short circuit of winding. Fault phenomenon: during operation, the temperature rises, there is ...
