How to maintain Cummins diesel generating set?

Do well follow three maintenance method, it is entirely possible to extend the mid-repair of your generator to 8,000 to 10,000 hours, and the overhaul to 15000 to 18000 hours.

A level maintenance
1.When use Cummins generator,check and record the operating state of the generator per hour.(check and record the power output,frequency, Oil pressure,water temperature, charging, smoke exhaust of the generator per hour)
2.Before open the generator,must check engine oil level and water level.(Before open the generator, let genset race 8mins,load on the genset when the sound of generator is normal.)
3.When the machine stop working,after genset cooled,need to clean face of genset.(Need to load on generator set firstly,let generator set race 10mins,then close down,so that let the pressurized gas and penalty kick be fully cooled. )
B level maintenance
1. Repeat A level maintenance process.
2. Check battery water level half above zinc sheet 1cm
3. Check every machine belt tension ;
4. According diesel engine oil quality,change diesel oil grid every 200 hours to 300 hours;
5. Change generator oil grid every 250 hours to 300 hours;
6. Change wind grid every 500 hours(during working,can blow with wind gun 1time to 2 times)
7. Change water grid and add aqueous rust preventive every 500 hours.
8. Check control system every 500 hours or 3 months.
9. Clean water box heat sink network;
C level maintenance(every 3000 hours to 4000 hours maintenance by professional staff
1. Clean valve clearance of air door and adjust nozzle plunger stroke every 3000 hours to 4000 hours;
2. Clean ball bearing and inject lubricating oil every 4000 hours to 5000 hours;
3. Remove Holset turbocharger and remove carbon deposition,if necessary,change maintenance package of Holset turbocharger every 4000 hours to 5000 hours(This way can increase service life of Holset turbocharger)
4. Test the protection performance of the unit (such as: automatic shutdown of high water temperature, low voltage, overspeed, etc.);
5. Remove PT pump cleaning core every 3000 hours to 4000 hours;
6. Remove start motor and check carbon brush and contact copper sheet every 3000 hours to 4000 hours;
7. Remove battery charger and check carbon brush and bearing every 3000 hours to 4000 hours;

Components of Cummins PT Fuel System

When it comes to Cummins generator, it is well known that the gensets have good quality, low fuel consumption, low noise, big output power and reliable performance. The reliable stability, economy, power performance, durability and environmental safety is welcomed by customers. In last article, we talk about CCEC Cummins diesel engines operating principles. Well, in this article, you will learn what are the major components of its PT Fuel System. Fuel System The PT fuel system is used exclusively on Cummins Diesels. The identifying letters, “ PT ” are an abbreviation for “ pressure-time ” . The operation of the Cummins PT Fuel System is based on the principle that the volume of liquid flow is proportionate to the fluid pressure, the time allowed to flow and the passage size through which the liquid flows. To apply this simple principle to the Cummins PT Fuel System , it is necessary to provide: 1. A fuel pump. 2. A means of controlling pressure of

Leroy-Somer Alternator AVR R450

1 - GENERAL INFORMATION of Leroy-Somer Alternator AVR R450 1.1 - Description The R450 AVR is supplied in a casing designed to be mounted on a panel with dampers. - Operating temperature: - 30°C to + 65°C. - Storage temperature: - 55°C to + 85°C. - Shocks on the base: 9 g depending on the 3 axes. - Vibrations: less than 10 Hz, 2 mm half-peak amplitude 10 Hz to 100 Hz: 100 mm/s, above 100 Hz: 8 g. The AVR is IP00, it must be incorporated in an environment which ensures it a IP20 protection. 1.2 - Characteristic The connection is realised by “Faston” connectors and the voltage sensing is single - phase. 2 - POWER SUPPLY Both the SHUNT/AREP & PMG excitation systems are controlled by the AVR. 2.1 - AREP excitation system With AREP excitation, the electronic AVR is powered by two auxiliary windings which are independent of the voltage sensing circuit. The first winding has a voltage proportional to the   alternator   main voltage (Shunt characteristic),
