Diesel generator sets are limited to the following maintenance methods:
Check the four-leakage phenomenon, surface, starting battery, engine oil and fuel oil of the unit;
Clean and improve the environment of the computer room, and replace the three filters regularly;
Carry out no-load maintenance every month, and carry out maintenance of loading and test machine every six months;
Use power monitoring to observe power quality parameters in real time.
Limitations of existing maintenance methods:
The load test in the existing maintenance is only the load test of the existing back-end electrical equipment, which has certain risks and low power;
There is no scientific basis for replacing the three filters or undergoing major repairs;
After replacing the three filters or undergoing major repairs, there is no special load for loading test machine, and it is not clear whether the expected purpose can be achieved;
A large amount of carbon deposits produced by no-load test machine and low-power load.
Diesel generator is an independent power generation equipment, mainly to provide emergency power in the event of a power outage. As a matter of fact, most of the time the unit is in standby mode, and there are relatively few opportunities to actually put it into use. Usually, it is mostly based on test machines, and it lacks more complete inspection and maintenance methods. But this kind of emergency backup power is indispensable. How to ensure that the generator can be powered in time in an emergency when the generator is used less frequently, and the operation is safe and reliable, and it can be shut down immediately after the power outage.
First, the inspection of the battery pack. Since the backup power supply is not often put into use, the key to whether the generator can start normally lies in the maintenance of the battery. If there is a problem with the battery pack, the more common situation is: there is voltage and no current. At this time, you can hear the sound of the solenoid valve in the starter motor, but the coupling cannot be moved. There are three reasons why the battery pack cannot stop due to a problem: 1. The method of stopping charging the battery during the test machine will cause the battery to be insufficient. 2. The mechanical oil pump is driven by a belt, and the pump oil volume at the rated speed is very large. However, the battery pack is insufficiently powered, which causes the spring plate in the shutoff valve to be blocked due to insufficient suction of the solenoid valve and spray from the four oil outlets when the machine is stopped. The fuel can not be shut down. 3. Domestic batteries usually have a lifespan of two years and are not replaced regularly.
Second, start the inspection of the solenoid valve. When the Starlight generator is running, people have summed up a set of inspection methods of "one look, two listen, three touch, four smell". Listening at startup is a very important step. Take the American original Cummins generator as an example. Just press the start button and it will start after three seconds. Within these three seconds, two "clicks" can be heard. Once the second sound is not heard, check whether the start solenoid valve is working properly. If the solenoid is blown out, the generator will of course not start.
Third, the inspection of diesel oil and lubricating oil. Because the unit is in a static state for a long time, the various materials of the unit itself will undergo complex chemical and physical changes with oil, cooling water, diesel, air, etc., which will "discharge" the unit. For this reason, attention should be paid to the problem of oil. For fire safety, the diesel fuel tank is usually placed in a closed room. Because the water vapor in the atmosphere condenses due to temperature changes, it forms water droplets that hang on the inner wall of the fuel tank and flow into the diesel fuel, causing the water content of the diesel fuel to exceed the standard. When such diesel enters the high-pressure oil pump of the diesel engine, it will rust the precision coupling part—the plunger, which will seriously damage the unit. Generator lubricating oil has a shelf life. When stored for a long time, the physical and chemical properties of the lubricating oil will change, causing the lubrication status of the unit to deteriorate when the unit is working, and it is easy to cause damage to the generator parts.
