Dingbo Power Produced 12 Shangchai Diesel Generators for Baise Expressway Project

 In April 2024, Dingbo Power produced 12 Shangchai diesel generator sets for a Baise expressway project. The diesel generators were two 280KW gensets, six 350KW gensets, one 400KW genset, two 500KW gensets and one 600KW genset respectively. They were equipped with silencers, rainproof canopies, rubber mountings and touch panels.


SDEC produces seven series of engines: R, H, D, C, E, G and W series, which are used in trucks, busses, construction machinery, generator sets, marine applications, and agricultural equipment. Shangchai diesel generator sets are high powered electrical energy producers that deliver much needed reliability and efficiency. They can meet the various needs of customers in terms of energy output required, fuel efficiency, operating environment, and size.


The E series industrial diesel engine for commercial generators was designed through a collaboration with SDEC and Austria AVL. This series represents a brand new engine platform created by following SAIC Motor manufacturing standards and installing an optional electronically controlled high pressure common rail and electronic governing mechanical pump fuel system. This engine series is noted for its safe, reliable, and high powered performance capabilities. Compared to similarly powered engines, it offers significant efficiency advantages and it is applicable for high and medium end common generator sets of 236-495kW.

For example, the 350KW Shangchai diesel generator set for the expressway project is powered by Shangchai SC13E550D2 engine, which uses a 6-cylinder and in-line design, simple structure, the overall size is smaller than the same power diesel engine. The bore and stroke of the engine is 130x161 mm. With supercharging and intercooling technology, the generator set drives the engine (1500 RPM) with a displacement of 12.8 L. The diesel genset is equipped with a 500L day tank and it meets the Stage II emission standards. The speed governing mode is Electronic Control.


The G series industrial diesel engines for commercial generators are designed for optimal power and efficiency. These units are suitable for medium to high power output electrical generation systems for commercial use. The SC25/27G industrial diesel engine for commercial generators is a product featuring upgraded components on Shangchai’s 12V135 diesel engine for generator sets. The upgrades have resulted in improved reliability, durability, efficiency, vibration, and noise output. The stroke of the SC27G has been extended to 155mm. Most components of this series of engine can be used with the original engine models. It is the first choice for matching the power for 505-602kW generator sets and it is manufactured according to SAIC Motor manufacturing standards.

That’s why the 600KW diesel generator we produced for the project is powered by Shangchai SC27G900D2 engine. Its engine type is V-line, 12 cylinders, water-cooled and Turbo & Intercooler. The bore and stroke is 135x155 mm. The generator set drives the engine (1500 RPM) with a displacement of 26.6 L. The minimum fuel consumption is 205 g/kW.h and the generator set is equipped with a 1000L day tank. It meets the Stage II emission standards.
