Operation of Yuchai diesel engine


Preparations before starting the diesel engine

To make sure that the engine would run properly, the following steps should be done before starting the engine every time:

① Check the oil level in the oil sump. The level should be within the upper and ower scale limits of the oil gauge. If the oil volume is not enough, add some oil as required.

② Check the diesel fuel level in the fuel tank. add some fuel if necessary.

③ Check the coolant level, add some coolant if necessary.

④ Check if there is air in the fuel pipe. De-aerate fuel if there is air in the fuel pipe.

⑤ Check if electrical system works properly.

⑥ Check the ension of the driving belt. the rension should be moderate as required.

⑦ Perform all the technical maintenance as required.
