Recently, Intellectual Property Office of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region released the List of Top 100 Guangxi Innovative Enterprises in Patented Technology. Guangxi Yuchai Machinery Co., Ltd. topped all candidates and won the first place of the list, and SAIC-GM-Wuling Automobile Co., Ltd. and Guangxi Wuzhou Pharmaceutical (Group) Co., Ltd. took the second and third places, respectively.
The List of Top 100 Guangxi Innovative Enterprises of Patented Technology is the first-ever list of regional innovative enterprises in China. It is mainly for conducting an overall evaluation of Guangxi enterprises' innovation abilities, and listing the places of enterprises in terms of invention patent application quantity, patent authorization rate, cited patent quantity, and valid utility model patent quantity. According to such indicators, Yuchai, SGMW, Guangxi Power Grid, and Liugong retained the leading four positions. In the future, the list will be released annually to pay a constant attention to the innovation of Guangxi enterprises.

It was learnt that Yuchai has won the first prize for patent application quantity of Guangxi enterprises for consecutive 10 years. In 2013, Yuchai ranked the top in the engine industry evaluated by "National Recognized Enterprise Technology Center". In 2015, the project "Medium and Large Engine Cylinder Block Digital Casting Workshop" was included in the special intelligent manufacturing projects of 2015. Moreover, Yuchai has won the National Science and Technology Progress Award twice.
Yuchai Group Gets on the List of 2017 Guangxi Direct Electricity Trading Enterprises
Recently, it was learnt from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the PRC that Yuchai Group has been included in the list of 2017 Guangxi Market Entities of Electricity Marketization (First Batch). In recent years, Guangxi has carried out a comprehensive reform of electric system, including the electric price reform, electricity market construction and retail electricity markets reform, as well as loosening the electricity generation and consumption plans, perfecting the electricity trading mechanism and strengthening market supervision. All these efforts were expected to address the obvious contradictions and deep-seated problems in the running process of the whole electric system, and to boost Guangxi’s economic structural adjustment and industrial transformation and upgrading. According to the Notice on Carrying out Direct Electricity Trading in Guangxi in 2017 (GGXYX [2016] No.892) issued by the Industry and Information Committee of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, one of the conditions entering the list of 2017 Guangxi Market Entities of Direct Electricity Trading is that the consumer’s power supply voltage level should be 35 kV or higher, as well as a power consumption of 30 million kilowatt-hours or above. Yuchai Group was qualified for the 2017 electricity marketization access conditions with a 110 kV power supply voltage level and a power consumption of 220 million kilowatt-hours in 2016.
After joining in Guangxi market entities of electricity marketization, Yuchai Group can negotiate the purchase price directly with electricity generation enterprises, and enjoy a preferential price in electricity transmission and distribution. It is expected that more than RMB 2 million will be saved in electrical consumption.
