The fuel filter of a diesel generator set is mainly composed of three parts: filter element, housing, and filter seat. All models are universal, except for overflow valve 8 which has two structures. C0810A or C0810B filters are selected according to different models. A 12 cylinder V-type diesel generator set is installed in parallel with one C0810A and one C0810B.
The fuel is sent from the fuel delivery pump to the fuel filter, where impurities are removed from the fuel through a paper filter element before entering the interior of the fuel filter cartridge, and then passing through the oil collection chamber on the filter seat to the fuel injection pump. The filter seat is equipped with a return joint and an overflow valve. When the fuel pressure inside the fuel filter exceeds 78kPa (0.8kgf/C ㎡), excess fuel is returned to the fuel tank through the return joint. Connect the low-pressure fuel pipeline in the direction indicated by the arrow on the seat, and do not connect it incorrectly. The filter seat is connected to the housing by a pull rod and sealed with a rubber ring. There is a vent plug on the upper end of the filter seat, and users can release the screw to clear the air from the fuel filter during use.
The fuel filter of the diesel generator set is fixed to the body or bracket with two M8-6H screws. If the user finds that the fuel supply is not smooth during use, there is a possibility of filter blockage. At this point, the vehicle should be stopped to drain the fuel. You can directly loosen the pull rod nut on the diesel generator set, remove the housing, take out the filter element, and then immerse the filter element in gasoline or diesel to gently wash away the dirt with a brush. If the filter element is broken or difficult to clean, it must be replaced, then installed, and filled with clean fuel.
