Cleaning of the water radiator: The water radiator needs frequent maintenance to ensure the heat exchange between the coolant and the air. Under normal circumstances, the exterior and interior of the water radiator should be cleaned every 500 hours of Volvo diesel generator work. To clean the internal scale and precipitated impurities, first drain the water in the radiator, and then use clean water with a certain pressure (such as tap water) to pass into the radiator core until the water flowing out is clean.


Maintenance of the water radiator: After the water radiator has been used for a period of time, if there is a leak, it can be repaired with solder. When the individual pipes are seriously damaged and cannot be repaired, the pipes are allowed to be blocked, but the number of blocked pipes cannot be more than three, otherwise the water temperature of the Volvo diesel generator may exceed the allowable range.


Daily precautions: The pressure cover installed on the water inlet of the water radiator can increase the pressure of the system to a certain range, which not only increases the boiling point of the coolant, but also enables the system to work normally at a higher temperature and a certain altitude. At the same time, the cavitation resistance of Volvo diesel generators and water pumps has also been improved. There is a steam valve and an air valve in the pressure cover. When the positive or negative pressure in the water radiator exceeds the specified value, the valve set in the pressure cover will automatically open to achieve the purpose of steam discharge or air entry.


When the Volvo diesel generator is working, the pressure cover should be closed so as not to hinder the normal operation of the cooling system. It is necessary to check the coolant level in the water radiator frequently and replenish it in time. If the liquid level is too low, it will affect the cooling effect of the system and aggravate the cavitation of Volvo diesel generators.
