When to Replace Perkins Engine Oil Filter and Fuel Filter

In general, the replacement period of the engine fuel filter element is 250 hours for the first operation, and then 500 hours for each operation after that. The replacement time should be flexibly grasped according to the different fuel quality grade.  

When the filter pressure gauge alarms or indicates abnormal pressure or when there is leakage or rupture or deformation on the surface of the filter, it is necessary to check if there is any abnormal phenomenon of the filter. If there is, it must be replaced.

When selecting the oil filter core, is the higher the filtration accuracy, the better?

The proper filter element filtration accuracy should reach a balance between filtration efficiency and ash content. The use of the filter element with high filtration accuracy will shorten the service life of the filter core due to the low ash content of the filter cores, thus increasing the risk of the oil filter being blocked prematurely.
